Cyrus Ardalan is an architect and designer based in Paris.

Villa Aram, his first project, located south of Dakar, laid the foundations for a radical architectural language emphasizing functional, hygienist and sustainable design. An advocate of non-industrial construction methods and natural materials, Cyrus Ardalan conducts ongoing research into passive systems, lightweight structures, and local know-how, guided by an economy of means and a principle of radiant sobriety.

From a bioclimatic house in Senegal to the renovation of Parisian apartments—along with a retail space for the eco-friendly sneaker brand Veja, workspaces for a fashion agency, and experiments on prefabricated housing—his work spans a wide range of scales and contexts. Across these varied projects, he pursues a single, consistent aim: to make architecture a sincere and integral practice.

His work also focuses on the transformation of existing spaces, where he clarifies spatial layouts, reorganizes circulation, and introduces structuring elements to restore a contemporary identity to obsolete environments. He seeks to deliver coherent architectures in which interior layouts and custom-designed furniture naturally extend the spatial fabric. Tables, seating, lighting fixtures, and door handles become fragments of a broader spatial narrative, reflecting a heightened attention to everyday gestures.

Of Franco-Iranian descent, Cyrus Ardalan draws on his cultural roots to inform his imagination, weaving together vernacular architectures, minimalist modernism, and mechanical logic.
